HIV/AIDS OUTREACH EDUCATION:  CHS conducts
one-to-one and group education sessions in the Little
Haiti/Little River and North Miami areas.  Sessions
consist of providing vital information about HIV
prevention as well as care and treatment for infected
and affected individuals.  Sessions are conducted in
public places including laundromats, churches, and
schools, as well as in private homes.

Under funding from the Miami-Dade County Ryan White
Act Title I, CHS also conducts outreach activities that are
designed to identify HIV/AIDS patients who are lost to
medical care and re-engage them in treatment.

HIV TESTING & COUNSELING:  CHS conducts HIV
Antibody testing as well as pre and post test counselling
using ORASURE on a walk-in basis and by appointment
with a certified counselor. This program is sponsored by
CHS, independently of any type of funding as a service
to the community.   Tests are confidential to the extent
allowed by law.
